Due to the reason of a burn hazard, several Acer notebooks have been recalled. Acer of America issued over 22,000 notebooks where the wire of an internal microphone could overheat and short circuit. There are three reports of the short circuited laptops out there, luckily, there are no injuries.

The models of the affected laptops include: the Acer AS3810TZG, AS3810TZ, AS3810TG, AS3810T, AS3410T and AS3410. Although not all the above models have been reported by customer, for security reason, customers are recommended to contact Acer and have the devices checked for avoiding any possible untoward incidents.
