As we have reported that Sony officially makes an announcement that they will recall their VAIO laptops with the number of over half a million. Sony Japan has warned that the company sold about 535,000 units VAIO notebooks may face a serious overheating problem. Sony said the found 13 VAIO CW and VAIO F Series notebook models are the existence of defective BIOS system, and the resultant problems are not controlled heat well, which may lead to burns or even notebook overheating notebook chassis overheating leading to deformation.

According to reports, Sony announced the existence of this risk of overheating VAIO CW and VAIO F Series notebooks are starting from January this year before being sold, they are equipped with Intel’s Core i3, Core i5 or Core i7 processor. The current stage of the Japanese market only products that can check the serial number to confirm whether the system is affected by this VAIO overheating problem.

Sony said that consumers have been the BUG laptop overheating problem caused by impact, then, needs to download a new BIOS file update to resolve this issue immediately. In addition, consumers were free to download if there are difficulties in upgrading the system BIOS if their laptop can be sent by mail or Sony’s maintenance department, by the maintenance staff to help update the BIOS system.
