Toshiba announces Satellite C660, Pro C660 laptops

Toshiba Europe has announced a pair of notebook computers in its Satellite range, the Satellite C660. More specifically, they are codenamed Toshiba Satellite C660 and Toshiba Satellite Pro C660.

Of course, we will compare the differences between the Satellite C660 and Satellite Pro C660 laptops. In fact, these two new laptops are relatively the same for the most part. The only difference of the Satellite C660 with the Satellite Pro C660 is the OS of Windows 7 Professional, as well as a black textured casing, and a “non-reflective” screen

Now, we will mention the basic specifications of the C660 model, most of which are the same of the Satellite Pro C660.

  • Starts at 5.6 pounds Weight

  • Up to 640GB 2.5-inch 5,400 rpm hard drive
  • Connectivity: Two USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet
  • VGA webcam with microphone, Face Recognition
  • OS options: Windows 7 Home Basic/Premium/Professional
  • Dimensions is 14.9- x 10- x 1.1- (front) / 1.4-inches (back)
  • Comes with a 15.6-inch TruBrite LED HD display with 1,366 x 768 resolution; 16:9 aspect ratio
  • Intel Core i3/Pentium/Celeron or AMD Athlon II Dual Core/V series processor options

There is no word on the exact pricing just yet, but the Satellite C660 and Pro C660 will be available in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa sometime during the fourth quarter of 2010.
