CitiBank: iOS App Store to Make $2 Billion in 2011

Since Google and Microsoft have launched their App market place, there are three main App market places around the world, they are the Google Android market place, Microsoft Windows Phone 7 market place and Apple App store.

And among three Apple’s App store is definitely the most pupular mobile applications market, it is the king of the market.In 2010, Apple app store has made lots of money for Apple, and in 2011, it shall keep on achieving success in the market.According to a latest report from Citibank, Apple App store will get anther 5000,000 apps in 2011.

Citibank guess the App store will make up to $2 billion of gross revenue in 2011 for Apple.Whatever you say, Apple now is the king.And what will Google and Microsoft say when they see this report.Another report says that the App store market could reach up to $27 billion in total next two years.And if that is true, Google and Microsoft will be much willing to make App some competition.

Google’s Android OS is now taking the market step by step,as what we can read from the wild mobile phone world.Most of hardware manufacturers are much willing to work together with Android.On the other hand, Microsoft’s app market-place is going to take over webOS app market soon.

Anyway, 2011 is already shaping up, more handsets will hit the market along with some cool tablets, and the new generation iPhone would be announced very soon as well.
