30 Sep 11 Toshiba Thrive 7-inch Tablet Available in November

It has been nearly three months since Toshiba released the 10.1-inch version of Toshiba Thrive. Though it has gained great popularity among customers, some customers still think it is too big and heavy to carry. Today we have good news that Toshiba is going to release the 7-inch version of Toshiba Thrive in November. In case you are not familiar with the tablet, we will introduce its details to you in the following paragraphs.

Since it is much smaller than the 10.1-inch version, the new Toshiba Thrive 7-inch tablet is considered a compact and lightweight device. As far as we know, the operating system is Android Honeycomb 3.2 as expected. Thanks to the 1GB memory RAM and the NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor which runs at 1GHz, the tablet performs very well. In case the memory capacity is not enough, there is also a slot for a Micro SD cards. Moreover, the display screen features a resolution of 1280×800 pixels and is categorized as “AutoBrite LED”.

As for the cameras, both of them are HD. One is on the front with 2 megapixels and another on the rear with 5 megapixels and LED flash. What is more, it offers three ways of connectivity: micro HDMI, mini USB and a slot for micro SD memory cards. The battery life is about 7 hours. Other features include Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi, GPS and much more.

The new Toshiba Thrive 7-inch tablet will be available in two versions: either the 16GB version or the 32GB version. Both of them will be released in November. At the moment, there is still no word on the price tag or the exact release date. We have to wait till Toshiba announces them.
