Here comes another new app to Apple’s mobile platform: FileMaker is bringing its popular database app to the iPhone/iPod Touch and iPad. That means the application is available in two flavors, and both enable owners to use FileMaker Pro databases whenever they want and even while on the go. By working with the app, you can view, edit and search for information in FileMaker databases which are created with FileMaker Pro and the databases are also hosted on FileMaker Server or FileMaker Pro.

In order to use the databases, you need a Mac or PC with a local WiFi network or over the Internet (WiFi or 3G connection). If there are some changes in later time, you don’t need to worry for you can immediately update all the things in the hosted file.

Now you may ask me something about its features, anyway, as far as we know, Tab controls, Quick Find, Web Viewers, External SQL Data Sources, containers, portals and even most scripts are all included in this app. and what gives the users more conveniences is the app works in both portrait and landscape views, allowing you to switch automatically.

After all, if you feel like owning this app, for an iPhone or iPod user, what you need to pay FileMaker Go for $19.99, while it will cost you more to have the iPad version since the price of it is to be $ 39.99. If you really like the app, I think there is no excuse to waiting, just go!

We have heard that a Finnish company named Steam Republic recently launched a service called Mobile Backstage, allowing record labels as well as musicians to build virtual communities around their fans’ smartphones.

The main function of this app is to offer its users (I mean the fans) a way to access the latest news, and keep in touch directly with the artist and other fans. It‘s not something that equals to facebook, for it’s a dedicated mobile application that enables fans communicate freely with their stars. Using this platform, folks can share anything that they are willing to show by uploading content and “checking in” to gigs through GPS. The combination with major social networks and digital music stores also makes the service different from other apps.

The price of this Mobile Backstage is about 1,000 Euros and some stars such as international hip hop star Dizzee Rascal, power pop outfit You Me At Six and post-hardcore rockers Enter Shikari have had good experiences with it and all of them think highly of it which indicates that it’s  trials has actually become a complete success.

If I understood right, Mobile Backstage compiles an iPhone app. and it is only the start, since it also has the plan to come to Android and BlackBerry during this year. But what is strange is that there is still no any information on it about Symbian. Maybe it is because what we are talking about is a foreign country and all seems just a matter of time to experience this Finnish service.

Good news to the phone gaming players: the first iPhone update for Splinter Cell Conviction has been released by Gameloft. As is known to all that Splinter Cell Conviction is not a new game but now you can have a brand-new experience about it. It is not hard to imagine that the game will make use of the iPhone 4′s higher resolution screen and as well as its faster CPU and then you’ll be lucky enough to have the best possible-delivered graphics. You will feel like being in the real battle field when your fingers touch the screen for the full effect.
