Windows Phone supported 5 languages: English (US and UK), French, German, Italian, and Spanish at launch and in Mango they plan to support 17 new display languages , the new one include : Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese (simplified and traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Greek, Hungarian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian (Bokmål), Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Swedish. To help to display the Asian languages there will be 4 new fonts on devices that supports these Asian font. The Segoe UI Symbol font will also be included, which contains emoticons (Emoji) .
Mango also expands the set of languages so that you can type by using the on-screen keyboard. The 20 new keyboard options are: Brazilian Portuguese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Malaysian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Swedish, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, and Ukrainian.
