Mobile Backstage Coming Soon

We have heard that a Finnish company named Steam Republic recently launched a service called Mobile Backstage, allowing record labels as well as musicians to build virtual communities around their fans’ smartphones.

The main function of this app is to offer its users (I mean the fans) a way to access the latest news, and keep in touch directly with the artist and other fans. It‘s not something that equals to facebook, for it’s a dedicated mobile application that enables fans communicate freely with their stars. Using this platform, folks can share anything that they are willing to show by uploading content and “checking in” to gigs through GPS. The combination with major social networks and digital music stores also makes the service different from other apps.

The price of this Mobile Backstage is about 1,000 Euros and some stars such as international hip hop star Dizzee Rascal, power pop outfit You Me At Six and post-hardcore rockers Enter Shikari have had good experiences with it and all of them think highly of it which indicates that it’s  trials has actually become a complete success.

If I understood right, Mobile Backstage compiles an iPhone app. and it is only the start, since it also has the plan to come to Android and BlackBerry during this year. But what is strange is that there is still no any information on it about Symbian. Maybe it is because what we are talking about is a foreign country and all seems just a matter of time to experience this Finnish service.

Google Nexus sold out now

I think that Google Nexus’s officially being sold out is not a so big surprise for us. Some have already said it will be sold out in short time and the prophecy comes true. Google announced some time earlier that it was closing up shop, and a couple of days ago it had said that it was taking in a final shipment of Nexus One smartphones. Here, I’m sorry to say you folks have lost the chance to get the phone. I’m not joking, if you go to the NexusOne site, what you will see is only a little note from Google saying that direct purchases are no longer available for purchase directly from Google and you just can find more information by asking its help center. I know it is sad but if you really want to get one, Vodafone still has some units left in Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom and if you can afford this and don’t think too much about money, you can just go and buy one from Vodafone.

You won’t have many troubles on getting the Android devices to work in North America because they are GSM devices–what’s more, Google is going to bring the smartphone to Sprint and Verizon ,giving an opportunity to Droid Incredible and HTC EVO 4G.

So it’s better to wait patiently for the Nexus One. It is not only a good hardware but also it’s the only device now supporting the official Android 2.2, Froyo. If you really like it, seven months’ waiting won’t drive you crazy, right?

Samsung Captivate Cell Phone Review

Today you are going to see a very impressive cell-phone, called Samsung Captivate. Although the Samsung Captivate seems a bit snappy, it is equipped with an ultra-fast1GHz processor with a 512MB of RAM. It is also equipped with a thin AMOLED screen, which will provide a plenty of advantages: such as brighter screen, less reflection, and limited power consumption. Apart from other series, it has the ability of 720P HD video. The Samsung Captivate offers 16GB of storage room. But you can add a 32GB microSD card to make it 48GB storage.

As for the battery life, it’s not definitively confirmed that the Samsung Captivate offers almost 13 hours talk time and 750 hours of standby time. Because of the Captivate’s impressively large display, there’s no doubt that the device would tend to be large one. Anyway, it is still a pocket cell-phone. It also has the DLNA function, that it will be possible to send clients video content to other DLNA-enabled devices, like TV and computers.

I’m really fond of this cell phone and I think you will be too if you get your hands on one of these.

The Good

Great sound quality

Lots of terrific features

Easy to use controls

The Bad

Merely mid range battery life

If you have experienced the convenience and safety of Vlingo, then you must feel happy that it goes on to improve its voice-activated apps and the app for Android will now include a “SuperDialer” to make calling even more convenient.

Vlingo SuperDialer has some similarities with the Genius button on the myTouch 3G Slide on steroids. Users tap the widget and do the calling by just telling it. Voice dialing is not a big deal but this combines with your phone and the mobile Web to enable you to call things quickly even without knowing the exact number.

Actually I have got many advantages from Vlingo since I have a bad memory and thanks to its human oriented design, I can get different options depending on how my phrase the request, what’s in my contact list and even where I am. I think it is really cool and will help you to solve many dialing problems when you are on the go.

Dave Grannan, president & CEO have said in a prepared statement that Consumers who think highly of Vlingo have asked for more ways to use it when they are out. Adding SuperDialer was not a surprised progression to the product. With Vlingo, peopleneed’t to use a phone book any longer, no need to call 411 or search the web just to dial a business. Quite the other way, you can just say what you want to do and Vlingo will act out your words.

Because of the openness and the new features of Android, the company has regarded it as its innovation platform. It costs $9.99 to get app available for Android 2.0 and higher with all the voice functionality. If you had paid earlier, you can go to get the SuperDialer in an update.
