A good news for E-series cell-phone users, that there is a new E-series was introduced in MWX 2009 , named Nokia E55. According to Nokia’s announcement, the E55 will be the world’s thinnest smart phone: It measures 4.4 inches by 1.9 inches by 0.56 inches when closed and only weighs 4.9 ounces. As we all know that, Nokia is always trying to keep the size down by skipping the QWERTY keyboard, but it’s quite hard for the techniques. However, in E55, by putting two letters share the same button just like a SureType keybaord on a BlackBerry device, Nokia did it.
As for the resolution, the front panel of Nokia E55 has a 2.4 inch TFT display that people can still see clearly when it’s under sunlight. The micro USB port locates on the left side of the phone, with a plastic flap covering on the port. The power button is on the top and 3.5 mm headphone jack sits right next to it. The camera in E55 is as good as real camera: the pictures taken by E55 is clear as camera does.
Nokia E55 launches the 3rd Edition Symbian OS S60 system, most of its functions are similar to the E71. Nokia announced that they would start accepting orders from Monday on its Web site. The official price is $352. Although the price is a bit expensive, considering its powerful function, E55 is worth for the money.
