Apple fans tired of AT&T’s spotty service have been waiting for Verizon iPhone eagerly in major metropolitan areas such as San Francisco. Those Apple fans just need to be more patient, as Verizon iPhone is coming soon in early February, 2011. Apparantly, it is not encouraging news for AT&T, who was reported to launch better tex messaging plans to get and keep more customers in response to Verizon iPhone launch in my early article”Better messaging plans from AT&T”.

However, Verzion also announce that they will be offering unlimited data for USD 30 per month along with WiFi hotspot function with their iPhone 4. How much will it cost to turn your service into a wireless hotspot? Now, Verizon has confirmed that an additional USD 20 will be charged per month for 2GB of dedicated tethering bandwith.

Plus, Verizon may price the long-anticipated iPhone higher than customers are used to paying for Apple’s smartphones, an analyst said. Both Apple and AT&T, the current U.S. exclusive carrier, charge USD 199 for iPhone 4. Rumors say that because of a bigger patent licensing bill, Verizon iPhone’s price could be as high as USD 250, because there is more patent expense with a CDMA iPhone.

So, those expecting Verizon iPhone may need to do some calculations for their Verizon iPhone use in the future, then work out a budget maybe. If you care more about the cost, Verizon iPhone may not be your best choice, and continues with your business with AT&T. If I am going to choose between cost and service, I will definitely prefer the latter. What is your view, please leave your comments.
