When the HP Company brought its Touch Pad’s price down to just $99.99, this tablet still caught a lot of attention despite the fact that it wasn’t the most popular on the market. You must be very surprised what caused the price cutting? Of course some of you may have got to know that such a low price was on account of the tablet’s production halts. Here we want to bring you another piece of news that you may have not known. Actually long before the Touch Pad was released, HP had made the first appearance of another tablet as they termed it the HP Slate.
That we are not familiar with this tablet is related to its positioning. Not like other tablets, the HP Slate powered by Windows was not prepared for common customers; instead the company targeted it towards the business world. Form the news that HP has announced that they will be following the device up, we can say that the tablet’s first iteration was quite successful. This following up device is the second generation of the original as they termed it as the Slate 2.
This tablet features an 8.9-inch LCD display with resolution of 1024 x 600. Also, Intel Atom processor, 2GB RAM and 64GB of SSD storage are equipped with it. And of coursed as we have mentioned before, it is powered by Windows 7. Such configuration is powerful enough for your daily use as well as your work. You will find this tablet available on market as early as sometime this month at a starting price of $699.
What will the market react to this tablet? Will it go fairly well on the market? We can’t say anything about it now as no clue indicates. But we’ll wait and see and keep you informed in the near future.
