This is a big event for Nokia, who is undoubted the world’s biggest phone manufactures. But things may get bad these days in Finland. People went out for a walkout because of the death of Symbian system. You could see about 1,000 workers gathering on the Nokia’s Tampere office to make a shot. But it not got so much considerable influence that the supervisors seemed to take blind ears to this thing. It was likely that those supervisors are happy and busy to celebrate their cooperation as a partner with the world’s biggest manufacture.
It is indeed that the death of Symbian is a truth. Therefore, the entire walkout is in vain. Maybe the whole walkout is just show worker’s dissatisfaction to the decision those supervisors made.
What is more, the death of Symbian gives more benefit that the Microsoft will make the nokia customize “everything” they like. What is more, the most popularity period of Symbian has passed; it is a new time for the newly-released system such as Android. Maybe in another way, the death of Symbian is inevitable. Compared with that, this is worth doing. But that can be not seen by their workers who not care much more benefit than their boss.
