Sony Ericsson has been in the smartphone game for quite a long time with many different smartphones and other handsets that have witnessed varying levels of success. Nevertheless,upon entering the Android market of smartphone,they were largely left unknown owing to a high level of innovation by competing manufacturers. This is not to say that Sony Ericsson hasn’t made any contributions over the years since the Xperia X10 has seen a largely dedicated community supporting .
Nowadays things have been changed as Sony Ericsson has kicked their top rank smartphone production into high gear. One device that you may be familiar with from Sony Ericsson that has been causing waves is none other than the Xperia Arc catering to the typical smartphone market. However, Sony Ericsson also has another Android engined smarpthone that is created for a much more specific condition with the Xperia Play.

Other than the fact that it’s running the latest Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3 one may think, at first sight, that the Xperia Play is not much different than a device that was released nearly a year ago. There also have a slide-out gamepad on the iconic PlayStation face buttons, a dual touch sensitive joysticks. Add to the two buttons which are shoulder by shoulder and you have device perfect for hardcore gamers on the go.
Of course, if you’ve been paying close attention to this issue,you may probably know all of that but what you may not have known is the fact that the Xperia Play has just seen its price tag cut to just $100 with 2-year contract on Verizon Wireless. As we all know, the Sony Ericsson is one of the most famous electronics Company in the world. As we all know, the Sony Ericsson has just announced to release some new excellent devices, such as Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. With that being said, the Xperia Play comes with a slide-out keyboard and a 4.2-inch display with the screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. As for the operating system, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc is running on Google’s Honeycomb Android Gingerbread 2.3. Other more detail features include the 512MB of RAM, a 1500 mAh battery. This year’s Mobile World Congress certainly is the battlefield during which various companies would show their muscle. With 
dedicated think tank, Sony Ericsson has invented a series of new products. With enough confidence, the company turns out to be the first one who show off in the MWC. We have already introduced you before its new products including the Xperia Neo, Xperia Pro and Xperia Play. We have got information about another device called Xperia Arc which has just been made official during CES earlier this year.

As we said before, Sony Ericsson have been making great strides forward in the moblie phone market, thanks to the Google Android. In one of my early articles “Sony Ericsson Xperia Play to show up”, we knew that the Xperia Play maybe show up at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February. However, we are a little bit disappointed that the Xperia Play has not been further mentioned since then; though, you will be much intrigued to hear that the Xperia Arc has gone up for pre-order today in the UK market!
The Xperia Arc will surely appeal to a wide audience, considering its sleek and sexy design, a 4.2-inch touchscreen, an Android 2.3 operating system, a 1GHz processor, a 512MB RAM and a 8.1 megapixel camera!
In the UK market, customers are expected to pay 459.99 pounds to order the Xperia Arc in advance and can get it as soon as it comes to the market. 459.99 pounds is a lot of money though, the greatest thing you can expect is that users can choose any carrier as you like! By the way, the Xperia X10 costs even 70 pounds more than the Xperia Arc when X10 was first released last year, and Xperia Arc is much more gorgeous than Xperia X10.
