We were thinking that the Universal Phone Charger standard will be approved by UN soon,and we have to tell you that the standard has been approved already.We have good news for you that the International Telecommunication Union,a branch under the UN,has officially approved the microUSB which can be treated as a future universal phone charger.

Why the UN so care about the phone charger standard?Well,the reason is the pollution and waste from the devices.A universal charger which can be applied throughout the world can save up to 51,000 tons of waste if the standard was applied before.That is the reason why UN pay attention to the universal charger standard.But before 2010,we still need to face lots of unnecessary waste,because the standard will not be completely adopted before 2012.Anyway,we wish all the related manufacturers and carriers can follow the new standard.
